Pieced by Janie Roberts, the quilt was quilted by the guild. The quilt pattern is "Flying Geese."

Bowers, who had 18 laps, here helped little Giana Gonzales who went 13 laps.
DON’T CRY – Tristyn Galindo, Sarah Arenas and Colee Charlesworth pulled green onions in the Marathon Elementary School garden this
week. The garden teaches the children about basic biology and selling their products at The French Co. Grocery provides a lesson on
capitalism.
DIG THIS – Clint Roberts of Marathon, grandson of PreK and kindergarten teacher LaVerne Avery and father of second grade student Zane
Roberts, spent the morning this week moving soil and manure into the elementary garden. The students plant vegetables that they sell
at The French Co. Grocery.
PET BEER – Ruben Gonzales posed with his favorite quaff at his Oasis Café this week. Gonzales is a key organizer of the Los Jaks motorcycle
rally this weekend, which benefits the bereavement fund at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
