BORDEN COUNTY BURNING – One of the biggest grass fires this week affected some 15,000 acres in Borden County. A rancher suffered minor
burns and a maintainer was destroyed in the blaze.

NOT JUST BOOKS ANYMORE – The Book Fair at Sanderson Elementary School is not just for books anymore. They now offer computer games
and programs as well as other novelties. Sean Lopez and mom, Anna Garza, looked over the selections.
LOOK WHAT I GOT – Kaelyn Cash showed off her poster of Hannah Montana she got at the book fair this week. Grandma Leila Cash had the rest of her stuff in a bag but Kaelyn opted to carry the poster.
WARM AND COZY – Yolanda Connelly showed off some of her handy work as she displayed a quilt the Cinco de Mayo association is raffling tickets for. The drawing will take place at the Cinco de Mayo celebration May 3 on the Courthouse Lawn.
