The name comes from a real weekly newspaper, the Terrell County News Leader, which served Sanderson, Texas, and the Trans-Pecos/Big Bend region for over a decade. We carry that paper's masthead and its plain, sourced, small-town-weekly voice forward — the small-town lens is how we tell a story, not a restriction on what the story's about.
